(#1) Roadtripping The Rockies: Banff and Yoho National Park
Four red Adirondack chairs in the wilderness. Two luxurious 5-star stays. One full-fledged breakdown on top of a mountain. We’re kicking off our 10-day Canadian Rockies Road Trip as we drive from Calgary to Lake Louise to explore Banff and Yoho National Parks!
(#2) 24 Hours at Chateau Lake Louise
Drawing the curtains to our private view of Lake Louise, it’s even dreamier than expected. This is a “pinch me” place. An… “Am I really here? Is this real?” kind of place. We’re giddy with anticipation for the next 24 hours in the iconic Château Lake Louise.
(#3) Driving The Icefields Parkway
Today begins our 3-day adventure along the Icefields Parkway, driving from Lake Louise to Jasper National Park, a route often celebrated as one of the world’s ultimate road trips. An abundance of beauty is what makes the Canadian Rockies so magical — and this drive is about to take our breath away in more ways than one!
(#4) Hiking Parker Ridge & The Columbia Icefield
The Icefields Parkway is named after the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest accumulations of ice and snow south of the Arctic Circle. This massive icefield is the largest icefield in the Rocky Mountains and a must-stop along our 10-day CA Rockies Road Trip.
(#5) Athabasca Falls
Athabasca Falls is our final stop along the Icefields Parkway before we reach Jasper. Known for its picturesque setting and the force of the plunging Athabasca River, the raw beauty and power of Athabasca Falls make it a must-stop.
(#6) Jasper National Park
As we refuel with comfort food after a peaceful morning in this charming, laid-back town, there’s zero doubt in either of our minds… We’re falling more in love with Jasper every second (and with every bite 😋)!
(#7) Jasper Park Lodge & Spirit Island
We immediately understand why Spirit Island is one of the most recognizable locations in all of Jasper National Park. It’s one place where photographs do the beauty justice, even if they can’t quite convey the tranquility felt in person.
(#1) The Great Alaskan Road Trip: Glacier Bay
Our trip kicks off with the goal of visiting the 8 national parks that lay scattered across the biggest state in America. Here's to daily recapping of an unforgettable journey… 21 days, 8 national parks, and 1 Great Alaskan Road Trip!
(#2) Kenai Fjords National Park
The second stop along our Great Alaskan Road Trip includes learning a new skill, navigating a treacherous road, using a pay phone and a footbridge, and enjoying one of the greatest adventures of our lives!
(#3) Wrangell-St. Elias National Park
This stop includes a certificate of achievement for outstanding will, bravery, and thermoregulation, a shared outhouse with a screen in place of the door, and an activity we’ve wanted to try for a very long time.
